Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) in Vaughan, Canada, is seeking a Field Sales professional to cover designated territory, develop potential customers, and maintain existing customer relationships at projected sales levels.

The role includes extensive travel within York Region to support business growth, collaborate with the sales team, and ensure timely reporting and account administration. This full-time contract role is 6 months, with no benefits.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary education or equivalent related experience and training.
• Valid G-class driver’s license or equivalent required.
• Experience in B2B sales is preferred.
• Experience in organic/natural consumer packaged goods is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage time and territory to hit daily/weekly/monthly sales goals and analyze market demographics and competition.
• Collaborate with UNFI Sales to maintain accounts, grow business and address operational issues.
• Provide timely and accurate sales reports to Sales Manager.
• Submit timely account information for input into UNFI information system.
• Participate in ongoing education on company products, services and compliance.
• Document and resolve customer complaints.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview:

Location/Territory:

this role services accounts in York Region (Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Newmarket, Mount Albert, Keswick, and other areas assigned)

Job Type:

Full Time Contract (6 months) - please note due to temporary contract, this role does not include Benefits

Job Responsibilities:

• Time and territory management to accomplish daily, weekly and monthly sales goals including defining market demographics, competitor analysis, prospecting new business and existing account knowledge.
• Participate with UNFI Sales team to effectively maintain existing accounts, develop new business and address operational issues.
• Provide accurate and complete sales reports to Sales Manager in a timely manner.
• Submit appropriate and timely account information for all new and existing accounts for input into the UNFI information system.
• Participate in continuing education programs regarding company products, services and industry compliances.
• Document and resolve customer complaints.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

• Post-Secondary education and/or equivalent related experience and training.
• Valid G-class driver's license or equivalent required

Required Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Sales
• Understanding of related computer applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)

Experience:

• Previous sales experience (preferably in a B2B capacity)
• Previous experience in organic/natural Consumer Packaged Goods sales is an asset
• Computer experience preferred (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Goal oriented self-starter with high energy level and competitive spirit
• Ability to travel extensively throughout assigned area

Onsite Role:

• This position requires the associate to perform all duties at one of our UNFI locations, such as a customer, distribution center or office.

Travel (major):

• Travel isrequiredup to 100%for this position.
