Job summary

Savanna Drilling in Leduc, Alberta is seeking a Field Recruiter to drive full-cycle recruitment for field operations and support onboarding for new hires. You will build a strong candidate pipeline, screen applicants, conduct interviews, and coordinate testing and documentation.

You will work closely with Operations to maintain qualified field staff and ensure a smooth hiring experience, including onboarding, contracts, and orientation.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Experience in recruitment, HR, administration or coordination roles.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to maintain confidential employee and candidate information.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with applicant tracking and HRIS systems.
• Experience with ADP is an asset.
• Previous drilling industry experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future field hiring needs.
• Review resumes and applications and identify candidates who meet position requirements.
• Conduct phone screens, interviews and reference checks.
• Verify candidate qualifications, experience and required certifications.
• Provide candidates with information about Savanna, positions, equipment and worksite expectations.
• Maintain accurate candidate information in the applicant tracking system.
• Coordinate and track pre-employment testing and other hiring requirements.
• Prepare employment contracts, new hire packages and onboarding documentation.
• Coordinate new hire orientation and assigned training.
• Support candidates throughout recruitment and onboarding process and respond to questions regarding employment and company policies.
• Enter and maintain accurate new hire information in the HRIS.
• Respond to day-to-day field employee inquiries by phone and email.
• Assist with recruitment reporting and other projects as required.
