Job summary

Savanna Drilling is seeking a Field Recruiter to join our team in Leduc, Alberta. You will manage the full recruitment cycle for field operations, from sourcing candidates to onboarding, ensuring a strong talent pipeline and smooth hire experience.

You will screen resumes, conduct interviews, verify qualifications, coordinate pre-employment testing, and prepare onboarding paperwork while maintaining accurate records in our ATS and HRIS.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in recruitment, HR, administration or a coordination role.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate and confidential employee and candidate information.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience working with applicant tracking and HRIS systems.
• Experience with ADP is an asset.
• Previous drilling industry experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future field hiring needs.
• Review resumes and applications and identify candidates who meet position requirements.
• Conduct phone screens, interviews and reference checks.
• Verify candidate qualifications, experience and required certifications.
• Provide candidates with information about Savanna, available positions, equipment and worksite expectations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate information in the applicant tracking system.
• Coordinate and track pre-employment testing and other hiring requirements.
• Prepare employment contracts, new hire packages and required onboarding documentation.
• Coordinate new hire orientation and assigned training.
• Support candidates throughout the recruitment and onboarding process and respond to questions regarding employment and company policies.
• Enter and maintain accurate new hire information in the HRIS.
• Respond to day-to-day field employee inquiries by phone and email.
• Assist with recruitment reporting and other projects as required.
