Job summary

CPUS Engineering Staffing Solutions Inc. is seeking a Project Lead to start in Oakville and move to field duties at Darlington Nuclear.

The role supports the ACU coil replacement project and requires coordinating design, scheduling, budgeting, and cross-disciplinary integration. The successful candidate will oversee project engineering, manage contracts and subcontracts, mentor junior engineers, and maintain client relationships.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years’ work experience in construction.
• Experience managing engineers.
• Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to ethics and integrity.
• Passion for safety and ensuring that nobody gets hurt.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and oversee all phases of the project, including design schedule tracking and integration between disciplines.
• Manage project revenue, costs, cash flow, and job cost tracking/forecasting.
• Lead project engineering on moderately complex projects, including temporary engineering requirements.
• Manage permanent design, quality control, and overall design coordination.
• Administer and manage contracts and subcontracts, including responsibility for design subcontracts.
• Assist in operations and production planning.
• Train and support field and office engineers in accurate submittals, RFIs, and project documentation.
• Develop and implement project control plans.
• Oversee and maintain the overall job schedule.
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project closeout activities.
• May manage and mentor other Project Engineers.
