Job Title: Field Permit Issuer (4 open positions)
Location: Kitimat, BC (FIFO and Camp accommodations for non-locals)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Sept 30, 2025
Schedule: 2 weeks on, 1 week off; 12 hours / day

Purpose & Accountabilities:
Reporting directly to the PTW Lead, the Field Permit Issuer will:
- Adhere to company’s work practices and processes to ensure safety of self, personnel, process plant, and environment.
- Issue Work Permits in designated process areas for punchlist closeout work.
- Carry out joint jobsite visits with contractors.
- Ensure contractors adhere to accountability board protocols in company primacy areas.
- Ensure provisions/controls of the permit and RA/JHA are met.
- Ensure prestart checklists are completed.
- Identify work area hazards and ensure controls are indicated on the permit/RA/JHA, and that contractors are aware.
- Identify SIMOPs in the work area and ensure proper mitigations are taken as necessary.
- Perform area check-ins for all permits issued and ensure work is carried out per permit and RA/JHA requirements.
- Ensure permits are closed out at the end of the work shift.
Skills & Requirements:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada for anyone other than current employer.
- Must have 10+ years of process operations and/or PTW/HSSE experience in LNG, gas plant, refinery, or petrochemical sectors.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Strong commitment to working safely and adhering to safe work practices.
- Strong collaboration skills to build positive relationships with team members of diverse skillsets and personalities.
- Strong knowledge of permit to work systems, safe work procedures, and regulations. Experience with Permit Vision e-permit software is an asset.
Dimensions:
- Some overtime and after-hours coverage required.
- Shift work required (nights, weekends, holidays).
- Willing and able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
- Able to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing ladders and stairs, working at heights, and in confined spaces.
- Using safe lifting techniques, able to lift and carry 23 kg from ground to waist level.

- Work Schedule: 12-hour day/night shifts; extended hours may be required during peak startup activities.
