Job summary

Acerta Energy seeks a Contract Field Operator in Drayton Valley to provide essential daily field support for well sites and facilities, with 100% time spent in the field and CMDS safety program adherence.

You will conduct safe production operations, report daily data, help lower operating costs, support safety culture, supervise field activities, and coordinate with lead operators, accounting, drilling, and completions.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in the Acerta CMDS Safety Program.
• Operate field properties 100% in-field time.
• Strong safety orientation and communication required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safe day-to-day field production operations and enter daily production reporting.
• Identify methods to lower operating and capital costs.
• Identify and implement methods to improve wellsite and facilities maintenance and reduce maintenance costs.
• Support and attend safety meetings as part of Acerta's HSE policies/culture.
• Serve as a field representative for all Acerta operations, with emphasis on professionalism.
• Participate in CMDS training to ensure competency and sign off on SOPs.
• Provide local supervision for projects in Lead Operator's absence; assist with MOC.
• Liaise with accounting, drilling, and completions engineering to plan, execute, and bring wells on stream safely and economically.
• Ensure dealings with contractors and JV partners are professional, ethical, and safe.

Skills

Driver's license (Class 5)

Field operation experience 2-3 years

CMDS safety program knowledge

Strong communication skills

Proficient with MS Office, SCADA, PVR

Education

Grade 12 or GED

Trades ticket / Tech diploma preferred
