ARC Resources Ltd., now part of Shell, is offering Field Operations Summer Student positions in Dawson Creek for May 2027. Shift: 10 hours over 4 days. Wage range $20.00–$25.00 CAD/hour.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain housekeeping of operational sites and facilities, including cleaning and painting.
  • Assist in vegetation management including weed eating of sites and facilities.
  • Assist Field Operations for compliance including data capture and asset management of equipment.
  • Support warehouse and supply chain personnel with assigned tasks.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Area Foreman, the Field Operations Summer Student positions require organized, detail oriented and motivated individuals who are ready to work in a fast-paced environment and take on new challenges. These roles involve working alongside team members with extensive and diverse experience within Field Operations. These 4-month work terms will commence in May 2027 and are based in Dawson Creek.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain housekeeping of operational sites and facilities, which includes cleaning and painting
  • Assist in vegetation management including weed eating of sites and facilities
  • Assist Field Operations as required for compliance including data capture and asset management of equipment
  • Support warehouse and supply chain personnel with assigned tasks
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO ARC
  • These positions are ideally suited for students currently in their second or third year of a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and are returning to their studies in the following term, or for high school graduates who have completed a 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate
  • Valid Class 5 license and experienced driving on rural roads
  • Excellent communication and strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of team
  • Motivated and enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic
  • Capability to work outdoors in ranging temperatures that can sometimes exceed 30 degrees
  • Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks
  • Possesses a strong commitment to safety
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to process changes and modifications
  • Must be able to live and work in the greater Dawson Creek area and travel regularly to various field locations throughout the work term

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • As these roles are considered safety sensitive, the successful candidate will be required to successfully complete drug and alcohol testing, and a fitness to work test
  • Shift schedules for these roles are 4 days on and 3 days off, working 10 hours per day, Monday to Thursday
  • The base wage range for this position is $20.00 CAD to $25.00 CAD. The posted wage range is reflective of the qualifications associated with this specific advertisement. Exact salary/wage may vary based on qualifications, experience and skillset
