Job summary

Broadview Homes in Calgary is seeking a Manager, Field Operations to oversee daily construction staff, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to Broadview's standards. Reporting to the Director, Construction and Warranty, you will supervise site staff, coordinate with trades and municipalities, and promote safety and quality on every site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of site superintendent or field operations experience in Residential Construction.
• Knowledge of provincial building codes and basic construction processes.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
• Comfortable using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Inspect workmanship quality and homes with care and enthusiasm.
• Ensure home building process aligns with plans and specifications.
• Act as liaison between construction/office staff, trades/suppliers, and municipalities.
• Supervise, develop, and guide all site staff, promoting effective communication.

Job Overview

Reporting to the Director, Construction and Warranty, as the Manager, Field Operations you will oversee the daily activities of construction staff. You also ensure projects are completed in an efficient and safe manner, adhering to Qualico’s quality standards to provide excellent customer service and satisfaction.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Inspecting the quality of workmanship and homes while demonstrating full care and enthusiasm.
• Ensuring the home building process is accurate according to plans and specifications.
• Acting as a liaison between the construction and office staff, trades/suppliers, and municipalities.
• Supervising, developing, and providing guidance to all construction site staff while promoting effective communication.
• Promoting a safe work environment, and ensuring all parties on-site comply with Qualico’s Safety Program and Operational Health & Safety regulations.

Work Conditions

You primarily work on site during regular business hours. Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. Travel to the regional office or other site locations is required. Overtime may occasionally be required.
