Job summary

National Seating & Mobility (NSM) is seeking a Mobility Equipment Technician to join our team in Alberta. You’ll travel to client homes and healthcare facilities to install, repair, and service wheelchairs, hospital beds, ramps and other mobility gear, helping people maintain independence.

We value mechanical ability, curiosity, and a positive attitude more than medical experience. A valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical ability and a hands-on mindset are essential.
• Strong communication and a customer-focused approach are required.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with therapists.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, install, service and repair mobility equipment in homes and facilities.
• Assemble, adjust, troubleshoot and maintain mobility products.
• Educate clients and caregivers on safe operation and care of equipment.
• Install wheelchairs, walkers, beds, grab bars, ramps and lifts.
• Complete documentation and manage rental equipment.
• Collaborate with therapists to ensure best outcomes.
