Job summary

Clean Harbors in Fort St John, BC is seeking Field Laborers to join a safety-first team. You will assist with the safe operation of a range of equipment and support operators on-site, ensuring safety, site stability, and timely paperwork.

Candidates should have outdoor/industrial experience, a valid Class 5 driver’s license, and be willing to travel, work weekends or nights as dispatched. Background checks and drug tests are required.

Qualifications

• Previous outdoor industrial or oil field experience in a labor-intensive role is preferred.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
• Willingness to complete a background check, drug test, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Assist Operators in the safe operation of units.
• Ensure job site placement of the unit is safe, stable and secure.
• Complete all required paperwork daily.
• Rig equipment in and out.
• General clean up and maintenance of units after job completion.
• Provide high levels of customer service to internal staff and external clients.

The successful candidates will be responsible for assisting with the safe operation of a wide variety of equipment, including but not limited to: Combo and Vacuum Trucks as well as High Pressure Units and Chemical as well.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Assisting the Operators in the safe operation of all units;
• Ensuring the job site placement of the unit is safe, stable and secure;
• Completing all required paperwork on a daily basis;
• Rigging equipment in and out;
• General clean up and maintenance of units upon completion of the job;
• Provides high levels of customer service with internal employees and external clients.

Qualifications

• Full class 5 driver’s license (no GDL) required;
• May have to be clean shaven for work, and respirator use;
• Previous outdoor industrial or oil field experience in a labor-intensive role is required;
• Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods of time;
• Previous experience with any of the following units: Vacuum, Chemical or High Pressure is preferred;
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment;
• Ability to report to work daily to the office in Fort St. John, no travel or accommodations are provided;
• Ability travel out of town, work weekends and nightshift as per dispatch;
• Willingness to complete a background check, drug test, and physical;
• Recruiting Pay Range: $25-32.
