Job summary

Savaria is seeking an Installation Technician for Handicare products across health care facilities in the Edmonton area. The role emphasizes on-site installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance. You’ll work from blueprints, read layouts, and ensure proper lift system operations.

The position requires 3–5 years of construction-related experience, high school diploma, and ability to travel up to 75%. A Journeyman BC Building Trades credential is an asset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3–5 years related experience preferred.
• Journeyman BC Building Trades would be an asset.
• Experience in carpentry and construction methods preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret room layouts.
• Mechanical aptitude for assembling hardware and components.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installations, commissioning, and maintenance of Handicare products.
• Coordinate installations with customers and project manager.
• Read blueprints, measure, cut, drill, and install lift system components.
• Conduct load tests and test lift operation.
• Travel to various job sites up to 75% and report progress.
