Qualifications

  • DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in lifting and/or ASP Construction certification.
  • 1–2 years of on-site inspection experience.
  • WHMIS certification and knowledge of OHS standards.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems is an asset.
  • Knowledge of lifting and safety products and non-compliance criteria.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s licence.

Job description

Reporting to the Sales Director, the Inspector will be responsible for visiting customer sites to ensure that lifting equipment and fall protection products comply with applicable standards. The Inspector will complete inspection reports and ensure they are provided to customers as quickly as possible following each visit.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform inspections of lifting and safety equipment at customer locations
  • Gather the necessary equipment and materials required for each type of inspection
  • Perform certain repairs at the customer’s location
  • Enter the data and information collected during inspections into the computer system
  • Present and promote the company’s various services
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) standards at customer locations
  • Prepare and provide customers with duly completed inspection reports within tight deadlines
  • Promptly communicate any issues or concerns
  • Work closely with the sales and operations teamsRepresent the company when interacting with customers, partners, and other organizations
  • Quebec City office and on the road
DESIRED PROFILE
  • DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in a field related to lifting and/or ASP Construction certification
  • 1–2 years of experience performing on-site inspections
  • WHMIS certification and knowledge of occupational health and safety (OHS) standards
