PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer medications in the patient's home, specialty clinics, and Physician Partnership clinic settings.
- Assess and monitor pre- and post-injection/infusion treatments as directed by program protocols.
- Complete necessary documentation based on policies and procedures, and as directed by the College of Nurses and Innomar ISO accreditation standards of practice.
- Provide patient and caregiver education based on product monographs and program protocols, individually or in groups.
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints in accordance with Innomar training and policies & procedures.
- Ensure reliable availability based on the employment agreement to meet the needs of the IBU and the Nursing and Clinics Key Performance Indicators.
- Communicate and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams including case managers, physicians, pharmacy, scheduling, and other departments to meet timelines for appointments and treatments.
- Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers to set up appointments and drug delivery to home and clinic.
- Participate in team web-based meetings and training sessions with the Business Area Manager, RNE, and Nurse Champion to maintain and enhance professional practice standards.
- Participate in specialized client-related training as required.
- Adhere to professional nursing standards as prescribed by professional associations and Innomar.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing oversight and delegation of applicable tasks to RPN/LPN as authorized by provincial college of nurses.
- Travel within your designated IBU and surrounding IBUs to meet operational needs.
- Follow all nursing and clinic standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Follow all health and safety standards as per provincial health and safety legislation.
- Complete ongoing and annual education training as per the training matrix within the specified timeframes.
- Perform other related duties and tasks as required by Innomar.
- May be required to be on standby or on call to meet service needs.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse required.
- One year of IV initiation experience preferred.
- Current registration with a licensing body and CPR certification required.
- Experience in critical care, emergency, acute care inpatient/outpatient, or homecare setting preferred.
- ACLS, PALS, MS, and CVAA certifications, and central venous lines/port experience are assets.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, MS Word, and other applicable computer programs.
- Access to reliable internet connection.
- Knowledge of cell phones for making and confirming appointments and fax machines.
- Excellent customer service skills and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and as part of a larger team.
- Ability to travel to clinics and homecare appointments within a set geographical boundary.

- Advanced knowledge of the pharmaceutical distribution industry is an asset.
