Job summary

WORKFORCE - Staffing Solutions is seeking a Journeyman or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician for field service across Western Canada, centered in the Red Deer area. You will travel to service calls in a company-provided service truck, work Monday to Friday, with overtime opportunities and competitive pay, benefits, pension, and profit sharing available.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of mechanic experience, a strong background with drivelines and engines, and excellent customer service skills

Qualifications

• Journeyman or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician with 5+ years of mechanic experience.
• Background working on drivelines and engines is highly beneficial.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills; professional with customers.
• Willingness to travel to service calls in field with company truck.

Overview

Seeking a Journeyman or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician for an established company with multiple locations in Western Canada. Their customers are throughout the US and Canada marketplace. They have had success over several decades assembling and servicing specialized heavy equipment for the pulp and paper, oil and gas, rail, transportation, and manufacturing sectors.

There is currently a need to hire a heavy-duty mechanic. In this role you will work Mon-Fri and work in the field. You will be based in the Red Deer area and go to service calls in a company provided service vehicle. You will be afforded the opportunity for overtime. Its important the hired candidate is good with customers and treats their day like its their own business in terms of organization skills. $45 to 50 per hour depending on experience plus benefits, company provided service truck. LOA if out overnights.

• Outstanding troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities

• Ability to interact professionally and in a positive level-headed manner with customers when required.
