Big Country Equipment (Western Canada) seeks a licensed Heavy-Duty Mechanic to service and repair heavy mining and construction equipment. It is a rotational shop position with some field work, using company-provided tools to diagnose and repair off-road equipment, safely supporting operations.
Strong diagnosing skills, a valid provincial certification, and experience with CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, or John Deere are preferred. We offer a robust benefits package and steady work in a growing company.
Base Rate: $62.50/hr.
OT: 4 hours daily, paid at $93.75/hr.
Schedule: 14X14 - 12-hour days
Night Shift Premium: $1.25/hr.

Flights Paid: Yes, fly into the location from any major airport in Canada
Tools Provided: Tools will be provided
Travel Allowance: Paid up to 8 hours at regular rate for the day before and after a 14-day shift

Big Country Equipment is hiring an experienced licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic (Equipment Technician) to perform service, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy mining and construction equipment. This is a rotational shop opportunity with some opportunity to go into the field. The successful technician will troubleshoot and repair off-road heavy equipment using company-provided tools while supporting customer operations safely and professionally. Licensed Truck and Transport Mechanics and Agricultural Equipment Technicians may also be considered if they have strong, relevant experience repairing heavy or off-road equipment.
