A mining company in Nunavut seeks a Wildlife Monitor to ensure safety regarding wildlife encounters. The role requires proficiency in handling firearms and is open only to Inuit beneficiaries. Accommodations and meals are provided for employees on site during a 14-day work schedule.

ABOUT OUR OPERATION: The objective of Sanajiksanut is to increase Inuit workforce in all of AEM’s Nunavut operations by contributing to the development of skills and competencies of the Inuit population in the Kivalliq region. The Sanajiksanut Process is composed of 4 steps: Employment Information Session, Online Application, Pre-employment Training, and Employment.

Reporting to different departments such as Exploration, Permitting or Construction (depending on the needs), you will support the team by ensuring safety when work is performed on the field. You will be responsible for:

Your Work Schedule:
· Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
· Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site from Kivalliq Communities, Mirabel & Val d'Or.
