Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking a Field Exploration/Core Shack Technician for our Nunavut operations. You will support geologists in the field and at the core shack, conduct drill site inspections, surveys, and downhole data QA/QC, and prepare drill core for geologists while promoting health, safety, and environmental standards.

You will collaborate with team members, manage core handling, and assist with ice construction and access to drilling sites as priorities require.

Qualifications

• College diploma in mining tech or related field.
• 3 years of exploration or core shack experience.
• Rigorous and methodical approach.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and hike in tundra.

Responsibilities

• Support geologists at the core shack and field sites.
• Drill site inspections, surveys, and downhole data QA/QC.
• Prepare drill core for geologists and assist in core handling.
• Maintain clean, organized core shack and field areas.
• Participate in health and safety meetings and protocols.
