Job summary

QPS Evaluation Services Inc. is expanding its Field Evaluation team in Canada. We seek a motivated Electrician or Electrical Engineer with strong technical expertise in electrical products and a willingness to travel for on-site inspections.

You will verify compliance, interpret schematics, and communicate results to clients. Preferred candidates are self-sufficient, detail-oriented, with 2+ years of industrial experience, and a commitment to professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Electrician or Electrical Engineering degree.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel internationally.
  • 2+ years of experience with industrial equipment and controls.
  • Strong leadership skills with responsibility and trust.
  • Computer proficiency and basic keyboard skills.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent time management and client focus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site inspections to verify compliance with safety standards and the Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and assess component suitability.
  • Perform mandatory testing on electrical systems.
  • Prepare detailed evaluation reports and communicate results to clients.
  • Travel frequently to Winnipeg and surrounding areas, with occasional international travel (USA, Europe, Asia).
  • Maintain a professional, respectful, and client-focused approach on all interactions.

We are expanding our Field Evaluation services and are looking for a motivated and skilled professional to join our team of technical experts. The ideal candidate is an experienced Electrician or Engineer with strong technical expertise in electrical products and is eager to take their career to the next level. What you will do
  • Conduct on‑site inspections to verify compliance of electrical products with safety standards and the Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, assess component suitability, and perform mandatory testing on various electrical systems.
  • Work closely with clients, providing detailed evaluation reports and communicating results.
  • Travel frequently to customer sites, primarily locally in Winnipeg and surrounding areas, with occasional opportunities for international travel (USA, Europe, Asia). Travel will primarily be in Manitoba
  • Uphold a culture of respect, ensuring professionalism and courtesy in every interaction with clients and colleagues.
  • Manage your time independently while ensuring that deadlines for each mission are met.
What Do You Need to Succeed

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Licensed Electrician or degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel internationally.
  • 2+ years of experience with industrial equipment and controls.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of responsibility and trust.
  • Computer proficiency and basic keyboard skills.
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management and client‑focused mindset.
  • A solid commitment to respect for all, fostering positive and inclusive interactions.

  • Experience as a Commercial Electrical Inspector.
  • Knowledge of High Voltage systems, Renewable Energy installations, or Electro‑medical products.
