Job summary

AllRock Consulting Ltd. is seeking a Junior Environmental Technologist/EIT to join our multidisciplinary team in Toronto and work on environmental projects across Ontario. You’ll perform Phase I and II ESAs, field sampling, and remediation support while coordinating with laboratories and clients.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Earth or Environmental Science and are eligible for P.Geo. or P.Eng. certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Earth or Environmental Science, Civil, Environmental, or Geological Engineering, Hydrogeology or Geology, or equivalent related disciplines. Eligibility for P.Geo. or P.Eng. certification would be considered an asset.
• A valid driver’s license, insurance and a personal vehicle is required.
• 0-2 years plus of relevant work experience.
• Eligible for federal security clearance.
• Flexibility to travel periodically.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Assessments of Past Uses, including site visits, interviews, historical and regulatory reviews and recommendations.
• Conduct field activities for Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and the Excess Soil Regulation, including soil and groundwater sampling, surface water and sediment sampling, and soil tracking.
• Oversee abatement and remediation processes.
• Prepare proposals and cost estimates for projects.
• Schedule and manage projects, managing scopes of work, budgets and Client expectations.
