Job summary

Bantrel Co. is seeking a Field Engineer / Specialist (RSSOM) in Toronto to oversee the Step-up Substation and OMSF construction. You’ll manage interfaces with rail corridors, CP Rail and HONI, ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5–7 years in infrastructure or transit construction, with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Local city interfaces and multi-stakeholder coordination are key.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5–7 years of infrastructure or transit construction experience.
• Experience supervising or field engineering on large infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with RSSOM systems is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractors to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
• Prioritize safety and a safe work environment.
• Review contractor documentation and attend inspections.
• Provide daily quantities tracking and manage interfaces with stakeholders.
