Baker Hughes is seeking a Field Engineer I to join our Upstream Chemicals team in Alberta, Canada. You will gain hands-on field experience supporting fluids separation technologies and oilfield chemical programs while solving real production challenges.

The LEAD Development Program will develop your technical, commercial, and leadership skills through structured learning, field exposure, and cross-functional collaboration across Flow Assurance, Production Optimization, and Integrity Management.

Qualifications

• Recent degree in Engineering or Science (Chemical/Petroleum preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Willingness to work in field environments and remote locations.
• Hands-on experience from co-ops, internships, or lab/field work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Demonstrates initiative and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot chemical programs and production facilities to improve system performance.
• Identify opportunities to optimize production systems through process improvements.
• Plan, execute, and evaluate field trials for new chemical technologies.
