Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic - Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech II - CES) in Charlottetown, Canada to maintain and repair customer-owned equipment in a safe, professional manner. You’ll work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems and complete work orders daily.

Travel to job sites as needed, uphold exceptional customer service, and assist with equipment pick-up/delivery.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
1-2 years of experience repairing/maintaining vehicles and equipment; or trade school graduate.
Must own tools applicable to position.
Knowledge of construction equipment and basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of customer equipment and tools.
Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis.
Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
Other duties assigned as needed.
