Field Coordinator - Rail & Transit - (250001TS)

Description

Build a foundation for a successful career in transportation planning and traffic engineering by joining a dedicated team and a reputable consulting company. We specialize in multi-modal connections that facilitate the movement of people and goods through vehicles, transit, active transportation, and other modes. Our services are tailored to community needs, aiming to improve the overall transportation experience. Join us to help keep communities connected.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support at construction sites, including expediting design changes and responding to inquiries.
  • Understand subsurface utility investigation and utility relocation processes.
  • Meet with utilities on-site to assist with accurate locates.
  • Review utility drawings and report ambiguities or errors to the Construction Manager.
  • Evaluate proposals for field changes and recommend actions.
  • Define and implement inspection requirements to ensure conformity to drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure QA/QC compliance with applicable codes, manufacturer instructions, and installation procedures.
  • Prepare and distribute site monitoring reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Track Inspection Guidelines certification is an asset.
  • Experience with rail & transit infrastructure projects, including track construction, subsurface investigation, utility relocation, supervision, and quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of track and turnout components.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MS Project.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work under tight schedules and understand relevant standards and contracts.
  • Valid Ontario G license and access to a personal vehicle for travel.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada.
