You’ll also collaborate with internal teams to support commercial strategy and strengthen product adoption.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Coordinate and conduct customer training for Complete Genomics (CG) products and applications.

  • Perform preliminary on-site failure analysis and provide feedback to internal departments.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and act as a trusted technical advisor.
  • Support commercial efforts through technical presentations, seminars, and customer engagement.
  • Stay informed about current commercial strategies and competitor technologies, maintaining proficiency across all CG product lines and industry trends.
  • Work cross-functionally with Field Service Engineers, Sales, Marketing, and Product Managers to ensure successful customer outcomes.
  • Collaborate globally with FAS colleagues to share best practices and align support efforts.
  • Lead and own field-based demonstrations, technical workshops, and training content development.
  • Create visit reports and documentation following field travel.
  • Represent customer voice to R&D, Product Management, QA/QC, and Logistics teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Participate in local and occasionally international tradeshows and conferences related to NGS.
  • Act as a core team member for Product Support by contributing to documentation such as IFUs and product inserts.
  • Mentor and coach new hires; contribute to building a culture of professionalism and excellence.

ABOUT YOU

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Confident presenter and enthusiastic trainer.
  • Motivated to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
  • Passion for innovation and customer success in the genomics and biotechnology field.

WHERE YOU WILL WORK

  • Territory: Canada, primarily based in the Vancouver region.
  • Travel: More than 50% travel is expected within the assigned region. Occasional international travel for training or customer needs (e.g., China, U.S., and other Americas countries) may be required, pending regulations.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING US

  • Technical expertise in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) applications and instrumentation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex workflows and systems.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders across sales, service, and product development teams.
  • Prior experience in a field-facing, customer support role is preferred.

WHAT YOUR EDUCATION LOOKS LIKE

  • Master’s degree or above in Genetics, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
  • Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and outstanding experience or skills will be considered.
  • Training or experience in NGS technologies is preferred.

HOW WE WILL REWARD YOU

  • Salary: CAD $100,000–115,000 per year
  • Bonus: Annual performance-based bonus
  • Wellness: Annual gym membership reimbursement
