Job Details
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer medications in the patient's home, specialty clinics, and Physician Partnership clinic settings.
- Assess and monitor pre and post-injection/infusion treatments as directed by program protocols.
- Complete necessary documentation based on policies, procedures, and standards such as those from the College of Nurses and Innomar ISO accreditation.
- Provide patient and caregiver education based on product monographs and program protocols, either individually or in groups.
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints in accordance with Innomar policies and procedures.
- Ensure reliable availability based on the employment agreement to meet the needs of the IBU and KPIs of nursing and clinics.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including case managers, physicians, pharmacy, scheduling, and other departments to meet treatment and appointment timelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers to set up appointments and coordinate drug delivery to home and clinic.
- Participate in team web-based meetings and training sessions to maintain professional standards.
- Engage in specialized client-related training as required.
- Adhere to professional nursing standards and practices prescribed by professional associations and Innomar.
- Work collaboratively within the healthcare team, providing oversight and delegation to RPN/LPN as authorized by provincial nursing regulations.
- Travel within designated IBUs to meet operational needs.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and work instructions relevant to nursing and clinic operations.
- Comply with all health and safety standards mandated by provincial laws.
- Complete ongoing and annual education and training within specified timeframes.
- Perform other related duties as required by Innomar.
- Be available on standby/on call as needed to meet service requirements.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Relevant experience as a Registered Nurse is required.
- At least 1 year of IV initiation experience.
- Current registration with a licensing body and CPR certification.
- Experience in critical care, emergency, acute care inpatient/outpatient, or homecare settings.
- Assets include ACLS, PALS, MS, CVAA certifications, and experience with central venous lines/ports.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and other applicable computer programs.
- Reliable internet connection and access to a cell phone for communication and appointment management.
- Excellent customer service skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the designated geographical area.
