We are currently hiring for Field Adjusters to join our Property Claims team in the Greater Toronto Area: Greater Vancouver Area.

What You’ll Do

  • Completes on site and/or virtual inspections of personal and commercial claims
  • Responsible for capturing the scope of damages and quantifying repair estimates to settle claims
  • Reconciles and validates vendor estimates to ensure price and scope is appropriate
  • Investigate by meeting with insureds, third parties, witnesses and lawyers in or order to obtain facts and information.
  • Review facts, policy, technical reports, fire marshall reports, case law, to make decisions on coverage, value of the claim and negotiate/settle the claim accordingly
  • Responsible for providing exemplary customer service and keeping related parties informed of the claims status while working to bring claims to a successful resolution as quick as possible
  • Responsible for data accuracy, issuance of payments to insureds, vendors and other insurance companies.
  • Assistance during CAT's within Canada.

What You’ll Bring

  • 2+ years experience as an adjuster handling Personal Lines and Commercial lines claims
  • Strong background in Property Insurance and Customer Service
  • Preference given to a candidate with the ability to scope damages and prepare an estimate for repairs
  • Good PC skills and adaptable using new technology – usage of Hover considered an Asset
  • Valid driver’s license

  • The salary band for this position ranges from $55,600 to $103,200. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
