Job summary

Cooper Equipment Rentals is seeking a Fence Labourer to join our Calgary branch. You will organize yard fencing and equipment, assist with inventory, and safely load/unload materials for customer sites in a fast-paced, safety-minded team.

Qualifications include 1–2 years in similar roles and a valid Class 5 license. You’ll work outdoors in changing weather, handle tools, and help with deliveries, installations, and pickups across jobsites in the Calgary area.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related work experience in Fence/Scaffolding Labourer or similar role.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean/satisfactory abstract (≤3 demerit points).
• Able to lift approximately 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools is an asset.
• Forklift license or experience operating forklifts and/or construction equipment is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction tools, equipment and materials is an asset.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with strong customer-service orientation and teamwork.
• Curiosity to learn about construction equipment and the rental industry.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain fencing and equipment in the yard and warehouse.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
• Maintain facility organization and cleanliness for smooth operations.
• Safely load and secure temporary fencing for transport and unload at jobsites.
• Assist with loading/unloading other construction equipment as needed.
• Deliver, install, remove, and pick up construction fence at customer locations.
• Inspect equipment for damage and report to supervisor.
• Identify and report safety hazards and take corrective actions.
• Operate equipment following policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with branch teammates to resolve inventory/order issues.
• Assist with delivering small tools and equipment to job sites.

You’ll be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request.* Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods.
