Feeding Attendant - Student

Are you organized, responsible, and eager to learn? Join our team! We are seeking a Peat Feeding and Mix Plant Student for this summer to ensure the continuous operation of our mix line at the OakBank facility. Your vigilance will help maintain high quality and safety standards, ensuring smooth production. Your role is vital to our team and your efforts will be recognized.

Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and stage raw materials according to the daily production plan.
  2. Operate a forklift to pick up and drop off large bales of peat in the staging area.
  3. Unwrap peat bales and deliver them to feeding equipment for processing.
  4. Make adjustments to respect the production recipe.
  5. Update the inventory tracking system.
  6. Keep the work area clean and organized during your shift.
  7. Organize leftover wood pallets for recycling or repair.
  8. Operate the compactor to bale leftover plastic.
Qualifications:
  • Experience operating a forklift.
  • Autonomous and meticulous.
  • Good team player.
  • Ability to make quick decisions.
  • Availability to work day, evening, and night shifts.
  • Basic computer skills (Windows environment).
