Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is hiring for a Press/Finishing Feeder/Catcher to operate and manage several finishing machines that convert paperboard into consumer packaging. You will ensure quality, perform material handling, and support make-readies while upholding health, safety, and SQF standards.

You will also complete paperwork, participate in housekeeping, and contribute to a culture of integrity and teamwork within a large manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Feed cartons into gluers, formers and windower.
• Check cartons for quality.
• Operate carton packer and strapper/wrapper on WIP and finished product.
• Operate walkie with valid license.
• Perform material handling and housekeeping.
• Complete shift reports and paperwork.
• Maintain line clearance, quality checks and safety standards.
• Protect company reputation in dealings with stakeholders.

MISSION / SUMMARY:

The Press/Finishing Feeder/Catcher tends various printing and finishing machines that transforms paperboard into various consumer packaging products. They understand and align business operations as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Job functions include, but are not limited to the following

• Feeds cartons into gluers, formers and windower
• Picks up cartons from delivery table and stacks it on skid or into cases according to packing specs
• Check cartons for quality
• Uses taper
• Operate carton packer
• Operate strapper and wrapper on WIP and finished product
• Operates walkie with valid license
• Material handling
• Assists in make readies
• Labels product
• Completes paperwork including shift reports
• Maintains standards for line clearance, quality checks, safety champion and production
• Complete trigger boards when required
• Does there job according to SOP’s
• Maintain housekeeping and fill out cleaning schedules
• Ensures that Health & Safety and SQF standards are maintained
• Shares an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International’s good reputation in our relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies, and to act consistently with our core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork
• Other duties as assigned.
