Job summary

Green Municipal Fund seeks a Government Relations Lead to drive advocacy across federal, provincial, and municipal levels. You will translate policy developments into strategic insights and coordinate cross‑departmental efforts to align GMF priorities with FCM’s agenda.

Reporting to the Director, Advocacy, you will build relationships with elected officials and external partners, develop briefings and messaging, and guide decision‑making with timely political intelligence.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in advocacy or public relations at a national level.
• Strong policy analysis, strategic foresight and research synthesis.
• Well-developed network in government, lobbying and public interest groups.
• Fluent in English and French.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Government Relations lead for GMF and liaison between GMF and PPA.
• Develop advocacy plans within FCM’s strategy and monitor policy environments.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Prepare briefing notes, memos, and key messages on files.
