SCHOOL COUNSELLOR

A professional school counsellor plays a vital role in designing and delivering the Comprehensive School Counselling Program. The candidate must be a licensed teacher with a graduate degree in counselling and demonstrate competencies in knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for comprehensive guidance and counselling.

Qualifications

• A valid Nova Scotia Teachers License
• Five (5) years of appropriate teaching experience
• A Master of Education Degree in Counselling from an accredited university, including a school-based practicum

Open Vacancy Round Hiring

• The Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education will conduct interviews starting July 2 for the open vacancy hiring round.
• Shortlisted applicants will be contacted between June 18 and July 3 to schedule interviews. Applicants must be available during this period.
• Interviews will be held at Horton High School, 75 Greenwich Road S., Wolfville, from July 2-4.
• Successful applicants will be notified between July 2 and July 4. All shortlisted applicants will be contacted regardless of interview outcome.
