School Counsellor

Position: 1.00 FTE

Status: Vacant

Terms and conditions of employment, including wages, are in accordance with the Nova Scotia Teachers' Provincial Agreement.

School Counsellor Role

A professional school counsellor plays a vital role in designing and delivering the Comprehensive School Counselling Program. The candidate must be a licensed teacher with a graduate degree in counselling and demonstrate competencies in knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to Comprehensive Guidance and Counselling.

Qualifications
  • A valid Nova Scotia Teachers License
  • At least five (5) years of appropriate teaching experience
  • A Master of Education Degree in Counselling from an accredited university, including a school-based practicum
Open Vacancy Round Hiring Process
  • Interviews will commence on July 2 at Horton High School, 75 Greenwich Road S., Wolfville.
  • Shortlisted applicants will be contacted between June 18 and July 3 for interview scheduling. Applicants must be available during this period.
  • All applicants will be notified of the interview outcome by July 4.
