This role supervises nursery and greenhouse workers, organizes daily tasks, establishes work schedules and procedures, and ensures assigned work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.

A key focus of the role is ensuring greenhouse growing and production areas are properly cleaned, organized, and prepared to support ongoing crop operations. The Supervisor also supports crop‑related activities, maintains work and production records, trains employees, monitors compliance with farm safety and biosecurity procedures, and assists with the operation and maintenance of farm machinery and equipment.

This position works within established cultivation plans, production schedules, and standard operating procedures and collaborates closely with Cultivation and Farm Operations management to support daily greenhouse requirements.

Success in this role requires practical greenhouse experience, strong organization and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide direct supervision and guidance to employees while supporting sanitation, crop health, productivity, and a respectful workplace culture.

This role is based at our Pacifica facility in Delta, BC, and must be performed on‑site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate nursery and greenhouse workers performing greenhouse sanitation, crop‑support, and related agricultural activities.
  • Organize daily tasks and assign work to ensure sanitation and crop‑related activities are completed according to operational priorities.
  • Establish daily work schedules and procedures based on greenhouse production requirements and direction from management.
  • Supervise greenhouse cleaning activities, including the cleaning and sanitation of growing rooms, production areas, agricultural equipment, tools, trays, tables, carts, bins, and crop‑related workspaces.
  • Ensure greenhouse areas are properly cleaned, sanitized, organized, and prepared for upcoming crop‑production activities.
  • Supervise and oversee growing and other crop‑related operations within the assigned area.
  • Ensure farm safety, sanitation, and biosecurity procedures are followed by employees at all times.
  • Monitor work quality, productivity, and completion of assigned tasks and provide direction or corrective guidance when required.
  • Maintain quality‑control, production, sanitation, and operational records.
  • Maintain work records and logs related to labour, task completion, sanitation activities, and greenhouse operations.
  • Train new and existing employees on greenhouse sanitation, biosecurity, crop‑support activities, safe equipment use, and company procedures.
  • Support the hiring and onboarding of employees as required.
  • Provide hands‑on coaching and guidance to workers to ensure procedures and quality expectations are understood and consistently followed.
  • Operate farm machinery and equipment as required to support greenhouse operations.
  • Assist with routine inspection and maintenance of farm machinery, equipment, tools, and sanitation equipment and report repair needs to management.
  • Monitor supplies, tools, and equipment required for sanitation and crop‑support activities and notify management when replenishment or replacement is required.
  • Identify and report sanitation concerns, contamination risks, pest observations, equipment issues, or other conditions that could affect crop production.
  • Coordinate with Cultivation and other Farm Operations teams to support room turnovers and ensure greenhouse areas are available according to production schedules.
  • Perform general farm duties and assist with greenhouse and crop‑related activities as operationally required.
  • Promote teamwork, productivity, respectful communication, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of related work experience in greenhouse production, commercial cannabis cultivation, agricultural sanitation, crop operations, or a similar agricultural environment.
  • Previous experience providing direction, training, or supervision to workers is considered an asset.
  • Practical knowledge of greenhouse sanitation, biosecurity, crop health, and agricultural work procedures.
  • Ability to organize daily work and coordinate employees based on operational priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify sanitation, quality, or operational concerns.
  • Ability to maintain accurate work records, logs, and production documentation.
