Job summary

ARC Programs Ltd. is hiring a Family Support Counsellor out of the Family Connection Centre (FCC) in Kelowna. The role develops therapeutic relationships with families to support services for their children and youth, aiming to improve interactions and reduce conflict.

The position may include evenings and weekends, five days a week, with a 37.5-hour schedule. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Social Services (BSW/CYC/BA-Psychology) with 2+ years of experience or a diploma with 3+

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Social Services or related discipline with 2+ years of experience desired.
• Diploma in Social Services may be considered with extensive (3+ years) experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop therapeutic relationships with families to support FCC services.
• Improve parent/child interactions and reduce conflict.
• Facilitate parent/caregiver support groups to enhance connections and skills.
• Develop family-led goals using the Signs of Safety process.
• Collaborate with FCC teams and external partners to ensure holistic care.
