Job summary

SCHIZOPHRENIA SOCIETY OF SASKATCHEWAN seeks a Family Support Network Coordinator/Office Assistant in Saskatoon to provide one-on-one peer support, guide families navigating mental health and addiction challenges, and coordinate family-focused programs.

You will build partnerships with healthcare providers, create and maintain family resources, monitor outcomes, and handle Saskatoon office duties such as calls, printing, and supplies; a driver’s licence is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Lived experience as a family member supporting someone with mental health or addiction challenges.
  • Knowledge of recovery-oriented care.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Bachelor's degree asset but not required.
  • Valid driver’s licence required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one peer support, guidance, and resource navigation for family members affected by mental health or addiction challenges.
  • Develop, coordinate, and facilitate family-focused support programs (e.g., Family Recovery Journey, Family Support Group).
  • Build partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, Indigenous partners, and treatment facilities to strengthen referral networks.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining family support resources (website content, guides, educational materials).
  • Monitor program outcomes, collect participant feedback, and report results to the Executive Director and funders.
  • Office administration duties for the Saskatoon office: printing services, answering phones and general inquiry emails, and managing office supplies.
