Job summary

Autism Services in Regina is seeking a Pay Band Addictions Counsellor with a degree to join the Community Recovery Services team on a full-time temporary basis. Responsibilities include assessments, counseling, case management, and educational sessions to restore and sustain recovery for diverse clients.

Preference may be given to HSAS members per collective agreement. This position requires travel and a 8-hour day shift, with a start date around mid-August and a potential end date in March 2027.

Qualifications

• 1 yr exp working with a concurrent disorder population in a community setting.
• Degree in Addiction Counseling.
• Bachelor in Chemical Dependency or related field.
• Degree in Human Services (Social Work, Psychology, RN) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assess & screen clients and provide individual and group counseling.
• Case management and educational sessions to support recovery.
• Develop and implement recovery plans and crisis management when needed.
• Contribute to ongoing program goals within Community Recovery Services.

Job Description: As a member of the Community Recovery Services and under the general direction of the Manager of CRS the primary goal will be to restore, maintain and enhance the recovery of youth, young adults and adults with severe and persistent mental illness, seeking help for addiction &/or addiction related issues. Responsibilities include assessment & screening, individual & group counseling, case management & educational sessions. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"
