Role and Facility Information

1. This opportunity is to provide neonatal on-call coverage in beautiful Powell River. There is also an opportunity to cover the physician’s regular family practice clinic.
2. We are seeking a general practitioner with interest and skill in neonatal care. This urgent locum coverage may transition to a permanent position.
3. Powell River Hospital is developing a full-service perinatal program with support from obstetricians, family doctors, midwives, nurses, and lactation consultants. Join this important work to optimize and retain rural perinatal services.
4. While neonatal call is the primary expectation, there is an option to cover this work with general fee-for-service family practice/hospitalist work.

Compensation

Combination of service contract (neonatal call) and fee-for-service for clinic work. Up to $1,000 for travel and/or accommodation reimbursement.
