Job summary

Klinic Community Health in Winnipeg seeks a physician to join its Trans Health program providing client-centered, non-judgmental care in a community health setting. You will work with inter-professional teams, uphold anti-oppressive care, and contribute to program development and education.

The role requires CPSM registration eligibility, CMPA membership, and CCFP or equivalent certification in Transgender Health. On-call duties and a 0.25 EFT schedule are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized school of medicine.
• Current registration or eligibility with CPSM for Manitoba.
• CMPA membership.
• CCFP or comparable certification for Transgender Health.
• Interest/experience in community-based medicine and social determinants of health.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent English communication; additional languages a plus.
• Pro-choice stance.
• Ability to work with diverse gender identities/sexual orientations.
• Ability to communicate cross-culturally.

Responsibilities

• Provide client-centered care in a community setting.
• Collaborate with nursing and allied staff and participate in case conferences.
• Develop and/or facilitate in-service education.
• Document accurately and timely in medical records.
• Maintain charts and knowledge of emergency procedures.
• Communicate effectively with health team members to meet client needs.
• Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call service.
