Established in 1937, Baker Newby LLP is one of the largest law firms in the Fraser Valley with offices in Chilliwack and Abbotsford. We are currently seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant or Paralegal for our Family Law Department in Chilliwack.

Preferred candidates will have 5+ years of experience in family law practices and DivorceMate, and excellent software and technical proficiency as we operate with ever-increasing paperless practices. The successful candidate will of course be familiar in all administrative and procedural aspects of managing a family law file.

Joining an established and well-supported family law team of 5 senior assistants and 4 secondary support assistants, the successful candidate will also already recognize that family law is a fast, deadline-driven, high-responsibility and emotionally demanding practice. We seek candidates with a strong work ethic who thrive under pressure.

We recognize that experienced legal assistants and paralegals considering a move from Vancouver or elsewhere in the Lower Mainland may assume that Fraser Valley compensation will be less competitive. For experienced candidates, we encourage you not to make that assumption.
