Job description

We are seeking an experienced Law Clerk with a strong background in family law to join our client's dynamic legal team in Newmarket, Ontario. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, exceptional organizational skills, and a proactive approach to supporting legal professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Key Qualifications:

1. Completion of a post-secondary Law Clerk program or a combination of equivalent education and experience
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a law clerk, with a focus on family law
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with legal technology
4. Experience with legal practice management software; Clio experience considered an asset
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills
6. Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
7. Comfortable working independently as well as part of a collaborative team
8. Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential information
9. Reliable, punctual, and professional
10. Adaptable and eager to embrace new tools and technologies
