The Salvation Army in Kitchener is seeking a full-time Program Support at the Family Care Centre to coordinate community programs, assist with the Christmas Kettle Campaign, and provide front-line client service. You will manage intake, referrals, and confidential records, ensuring dignity and respect for all clients.
Required qualifications include a Community College Certificate in social services, Safe Food Handling, and First Aid/CPR, plus a valid G license.

This position reports directly to the Family Care Centre Director, or Designate
Provide support, assistance, and demonstrate work methods to new staff and volunteers
The incumbent may be responsible to provide supervision and direction for volunteers each day and temporary seasonal kettle staff.
May be responsible for up to 40 volunteers involved in programs
May receive and process community donations, food deliveries and assist with overall Family Care Centre operations.
Accepts non-monetary donations.
May pick up Kettles during Seasonal Campaign
This is a permanent full-time position based on 37.5 hours per week.
Range of pay is $21.28 - 23.28.
Schedule may vary according to requirements of responsibilities. Some evening and week-end work may be required. Flexibility in scheduling is essential.
Working environment is typically at the Family Care Centre in generally agreeable conditions.
This job requires reaching, bending, and stooping frequently, working in a sitting, and standing position for periods of time.
Ability to lift 30 lbs.
May include occasional travel with the EDS van for the EDS food distribution location in downtown Kitchener on occasion
