Job summary

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited is seeking an Underground Mine Engineering Co-op Student for Fall 2025. This internship offers a unique opportunity to support engineering projects, conduct surveys, and gain valuable experience. Successful candidates will be currently enrolled in a mining engineering program and demonstrate strong work ethics and communication skills. This role provides accommodation and meals, with a 14 days on, 14 days off schedule.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Engineering Coordinator, the intern will support the Engineering department and collaborate with other divisions. Responsibilities include supporting technical projects (dewatering, pumping, construction, ground control, planning), and conducting underground and ventilation surveys.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or technical program in Mining Engineering or related field.
  • Must be enrolled in a formal Co-op program.
  • Ontario Common Core or Québec FMTM modules are assets.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic, adaptability, energy, self-motivation, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including presentation skills.
  • Experience with Deswick software is an asset.
  • Promote safety and ensure compliance with safety regulations and AEM standards.

Note: The official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.

Your Work Schedule

Schedule: 14 days on, 14 days off; accommodations and meals are provided on-site at no cost. Agnico Eagle covers travel expenses, including charter flights within Canada.
