YOUR CONTRIBUTION:
As an Intern reporting to the Engineering Coordinator, you'll be integrated into the Engineering department. Your role will involve ensuring the achievement of set goals and objectives while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental values.
- Support the engineering team with the Daily data entry duties
- Provide the required support in the field and in the office to the different engineering groupsdepending on the needs (Ventilation, Survey, Drill & Blast, Mine Design)
- Conducting open pit surveying, which includes grade shots, stakeouts for production and pre-shearblasts, and WRSF markups.
- Performing DDH surveys for exploration geology and utilizing drone surveys.
- Execute the different analysis, projects, and studies as request by the engineering coordinator or his delegate.
- Engaging in special projects.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Must be currently enrolled in an Degree or Diploma program focused on Mine Engineering or Mine Technology or a related discipline.
- Students must be enrolled in a formal Co-op program.
- Valid driver’s license;
- Ontario Common Core or Quebec FMTM modules are an asset;
- Previous experience in mining is advantageous.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment is beneficial.
- Proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport within teams.
YOUR WORK SCHEDULE
- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle providescharter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expensesaccording to your location of residence in Canada.
