Job summary

Cirba Solutions in Canada operates as a leading battery recycling partner, dedicated to safety and sustainability. We’re seeking a dedicated facilities teammate to maintain cleanliness across office, plant areas and outdoor spaces, contributing to a safe, efficient work environment.

In this role you will operate floor scrubbers and buffers, mop and vacuum, handle waste, perform floor care, and support lawn care and basic maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with floor cleaning equipment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety by following warehouse procedures.
• Operate walk-behind and ride-on floor scrubbers.
• Mop, scrub, vacuum hallways, stairs and office spaces.
• Strip, wax, and buff floors with a floor buffer.
• Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility.
• Clean handrails, electrical panels, eyewash stations, and fire extinguishers.
• Clean restrooms, break areas and showers.
• Remove snow and debris from entrances, sidewalks.
• Perform lawn care including mowing and trimming.
• Assist in baling cardboard.
• Comply with environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Forklift operation may be required at some locations.
• All other duties as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures health and safety is the number one goal by following warehouse safety procedures and processes.
• Operates walk behind and ride on floor scrubbers.
• Mop, scrub, vacuum hallways, stairs and office spaces.
• Ensures all walkways, equipment aisles and phases are clean from contaminants on the floorStrip, wax, and buff office and break areas using electric floor buffer.
• Empties trash and garage containers throughout facility.
• Ensures horizontal surfaces, such as handrails, electric panels, eyewash stations, and fire extinguishers are clean from dust contaminants.
• Cleans restrooms, break areas and shower areas.
• Snow and debris removal and from facility entrance/exit, sidewalks.
• Lawn care including mowing and trimming.
• Assist in baling of cardboard.
• Comply with all environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Some locations may require operating a forklift to transfer material.
• All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Frequently lift 10-40 pounds individually, and over 40 pounds with a team member.
• Experience with walk behind and ride on scrubbers.
• Experience with operation of a floor buffer.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
