Facility Operator, Processing Facilities
Apply locations Corunna, Ontario time type Full time posted on Posted Yesterday job requisition id R25055 Located out of our Corunna Facility, Operators in the Onsite division primarily process hazardous and non-hazardous waste using mobile equipment directly on customer sites. This includes dredging, dewatering, water treatment, tank and equipment cleaning. Over 50% of the work is typically done in Sarnia-Lambton, with the remaining projects requiring travel within Ontario. Travel outside of Ontario may be required to complete specific projects, but primarily job sites are located across Southwestern Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure waste is processed in a timely and safe manner
• Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks and containers
• Ensure incoming and outgoing waste conforms with acceptance protocol
• Operation of mobile processing machinery and equipment and troubleshoot any processing issues
• Ensure safe operation and procedures are followed at all times
• Complete paperwork properly & ensure it is submitted on time
• Complete job hazard risk assessments
• Promote a safety culture with all employees
• Ensure superior customer service is provided
• General shop clean up and equipment maintenance
• Other miscellaneous tasks as required

Requirements:
• Vaild DZ License with clean driver's abstract

Knowledge, Skills and Key Competencies:

• Ability to perform moderately labour intensive and repetitious tasks
• Physically fit with the ability to lift +50lbs and stand for extended periods of time

• Mechanically inclined

• Knowledge of pumps and process equipment considered an asset
• Excellent communication skills
• Planning and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze and solve problems
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
