Job summary

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is hiring a Building Maintenance Technician to operate and monitor advanced building control systems and maintain facility equipment at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. This permanent, full-time position reports to Plant Maintenance and requires relevant certificates and licenses.

Salary is Pay Band 13, from $27.99 to $30.00 per hour, with a 28-shift rotation over 9 weeks and shifts including days, nights, evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Building Systems Technician certificate required or equivalent.
• Power Engineering License under the Boiler & Pressure Vessels Safety Act.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Additional refrigeration and plant operation certificates as required.

Responsibilities

• Operates and monitors computerized building control systems and maintains facility/plant equipment.
• Independently performs major repairs and installations on a wide variety of complex building systems and equipment.
