Job summary

Cardinal Health Gananoque is seeking a Facilities Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety of the plant, inside and outside. Under supervision, you will support production by keeping areas clean and orderly, handling waste disposal, and ensuring hygiene standards.

The role requires 12-hour shifts on a rotating day/night cycle, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a strong focus on safety, GMP, WHMIS, OHSA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts (days/nights) on a 24x7 schedule.
• General knowledge of plant safety procedures, WHMIS, GMP.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Remove scrap from all production machines.
• Clean facility including washrooms, First Aid Room, and lunch area.
• Dispose of waste plant-wide and manage recycling.
• Shovel snow and salt pathways; maintain cleaning supplies inventory.
• Inspect eye wash station, pest control, eye glass cleaning station, etc.
• Perform general maintenance such as drains, windows, doors, and safety mirrors.
