Position Overview

Safety Kleen / Clean Harbors seeks a self-motivated Facility General Manager in Delta, BC. The role involves front-line leadership and supervision of plant operations, overseeing multiple employees, ensuring health and safety, managing financials, increasing revenue, and maintaining environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage labor costs, hiring, firing, performance reviews, labor relations, and compliance with worker’s compensation laws
  • Ensure facility compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards
  • Oversee waste processing, including hazardous and non-hazardous materials
  • Manage procurement, budget, and P&L statements
  • Train and develop staff, mentor future managers
  • Maintain facility condition and cleanliness
  • Develop relationships with internal teams and external clients
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Environmental Science, or related field; equivalent experience accepted
  • 5-7 years of industry, plant operations, and management experience
  • Strong organizational, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations
  • Computer proficiency
