Job summary

The Town of Canmore is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to ensure safe, reliable operation of municipal facilities. You will maintain building systems, coordinate repairs, and support bookings and events to enable community programs and services.

The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, safety compliance, and collaboration with internal teams and contractors for high‑quality service to residents and visitors.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of building construction, operation, and lifecycle maintenance.
• HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems knowledge.
• Fire safety and security systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Operate and monitor HVAC systems, boilers, refrigeration plants, pool systems, and life safety systems.
• Complete inspections, logs, and maintenance schedules to ensure operational efficiency.
• Coordinate contractors for repairs and specialized services.
