Job summary

Tilray Canada Ltd. in Nanaimo seeks a Facilities Technician to support site improvement projects and ongoing maintenance.

Reporting to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager, you will assist with LED lighting retrofit, renovations, equipment moves, and general labour tasks. This temporary full-time role requires hands-on skills with hand and power tools, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• This role benefits from prior construction, maintenance, labour, or trades-related experience.
• Experience with lighting installations, renovations, or facility upgrades is advantageous.
• Proficiency with safe use of hand and basic power tools is required.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist LED lighting retrofit and installation projects across the facility.
• Support special projects including renovations, equipment relocations, and workspace improvements.
• Perform general labour duties including lifting, carrying, assembling, disassembling, and transporting materials and equipment.
• Complete minor construction and maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, demolition, and general repairs.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and work orders.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas, tools, and materials; support contractors on site.
• Follow all safety policies and report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Participate in training and meetings; perform other duties as assigned.
